Attention contributors to FootPrints

If you would like to contribute an article or advertisement to appear in a future issue of the Australian quarterly magazine "FootPrints" please take time to read the Guide to Authors and Advertising Policy below. Printed articles are eligible for CPT according to the RAoA program, refer to your copy of the CPT program for eligibility information.

Guide to Authors

Contributions of articles, case studies, book reviews, personal experiences and letters to the Editor are welcome. The following guidelines will help make the editing and publishing process easier for all:

1. Articles can be chatty and informal, or more formal and educational. They must, however, be accurate, well researched and fully referenced (if applicable).
2. Articles that have not been booked by the Editor for a specific issue will appear in an issue decided by the Editor as space and topic allow. To appear in a specific issue an article must be submitted for consideration up to 3 months in advance of the issue date.
3. Articles may be sent by email in Microsoft Word format to the Editor using standard Times Roman or Arial fonts. Faxed, pdf and scanned articles are not acceptable.
4. Photographs and line drawings are preferred at 100% size, 300 dpi resolution as JPG, TIFF, EPS or PDF format. Original, high resolution JPG files only are acceptable—preferably high contrast coloured images. Photographs and line drawings should be forwarded as separate JPG, TIFF, EPS or PDF files. If photos or line drawings are placed into Word documents, also supply the image as a separate file. Only high resolution mobile phone images are acceptable.
5. Any graphics, diagrams, graphs or photographs that are not the work of the author must be accompanied by written permission from the original author for their use in FootPrints. The RAoA has a Media Consent Form. Please contact our office on 07 3396 9001 or email admin@reflexology.org.au to request a copy of the form. 
6. If an article has been previously published, written permission from the author/other publication will be required. Please contact our office on 07 3396 9001 or email admin@reflexology.org.au to request a copy of our Media Consent Form. The Editor must be informed if an article is currently under consideration by another publication.
7. The Editor reserves the right to reject or make alterations to an article for publication. Where substantial changes are required, the Editor will show the final copy to the author as time permits.
8. Advertisements are to be submitted at the required size in Word, PDF or EPS format (sizing below).
9. Advertorials will not be accepted.

Advertising policy

• All advertisements must be booked in advance and copy provided to the Advertising Coordinator by email to accounts@reflexology.org.au  
• In order for the advertisement to be placed in FootPrints by the due deadline, payment must be received by the date shown on the tax invoice issued.
• Advertisements must be submitted by the copy deadline of 1st March, 1st June, 1st September and 1st December, allowing sufficient days for administration and invoicing prior to these dates.
• FootPrints is distributed approximately mid-to 3rd week of January and approximately the second week of April, July and October.
